New stems emerge near black in spring. Light periwinkle blue star-shaped flowers in spring. A selection of the native Amsonia taberaemontana. Tolerates poor soil quality. Deer resistant. Forms a dense, bushy mound 24-30" high by 36 - 40" wide.
