Multiple seasons of ornamental characteristics. White flowers bloom in May followed by dark, glossy leaves in summer and fall colors of purple, orange and scarlet. Flowers mature to produce edible dark fruit. Provides food for birds and other wildlife or is used in juice, jams and pies. Also attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Plant in mass, in borders, small gardens or woodland areas.
