A sturdy clump-forming upright perennial native to the Mid-Atlantic region. Best in sunny locations with moist well-drained soil. Flowers are frequented by Monarchs and other butterflies, skippers and bees. Cut back to 6" early in the season to control height and promote stronger stems. Fall bloom. Plants grow 3 - 4' tall. AKA Symphyotrichum novi-belgii.
