Foliage is golden yellow, changing to orange red in the fall. Blooms in spring, with small yellow flowers. Red berries follow, persisting through winter. Plant has small thorns so place accordingly. Plant is naturally slow growing and mounded, so little pruning is required. Deer tolerant.
