Fast growing tree develops snowy white bark and large green leaves that turn golden yellow in the fall. The trees also show high resistance to Bronze Birch Borer when sited properly. Prefers moist but well drained acid soils and a site where the root system remains shaded and cool. Deer tolerant. Used for making birch bark canoes.
