Broad, upright slow-growing bushy deciduous shrub. Spring flowers are dark rose-purple in bud and open to fuchsia-pink. Beautiful specimen flowering shrub for lawns, foundations, shrub borders or woodland peripheries. May be grown as a tall informal hedge.
