Upright, bushy, small tree or large shrub. Blooms in early summer with showy, saucer shaped flowers that are reddish purple on the outside and white inside. Foliage is medium dark green and falls from the tree with minimal color change. Slow to re-establish after transplanting. Keep a generous mulch ring over shallow roots.
