NATIVE - Deciduous shade tree. Shape is pyramidal in youth, becoming broadly rounded with age. Foliage is dark green, turning yellow-brown in the fall, and persists dried on the tree through winter. Acorns are produced on the mature tree. Slow to medium growth rate. Adaptable once established. Slow to re-establish after transplanting. Well adapted to the Midwest.
